Airborne Air France aircraft unexpectedly redirects its flight path toward Munich.

On Thursday, August 27, an Air France flight from Budapest to Paris experienced an alarm during its flight and made an unscheduled landing at Munich Airport. The specific flight number of the affected Air France flight, identified as AF-1695, was operating an Airbus A-321.

The incident occurred during the flight's journey, with the plane's route being altered near Salzburg. The crew made the decision to head for Munich Airport, leading to the unscheduled landing. The reason for the landing, however, remains undisclosed.

Reports suggest that the alarm on the Air France plane was triggered by a fire in the on-board kitchen. Thankfully, the crew was able to manage the situation effectively, and no injuries were reported.

The plane remained at Munich Airport for approximately five hours before continuing its journey to Paris. The unscheduled landing caused some delays for passengers on a BRB train from Munich to Salzburg. The train's passengers had a delayed arrival at their destination, reaching Salzburg six hours after the scheduled departure from the main station, due to a cable break.

The incident was reported by Lucas Sauter Orengo. Despite the unexpected events, Air France has yet to provide a detailed statement regarding the incident. Passengers on the affected flight were eventually able to complete their journey to Paris, marking the end of an unusual travel day.
