Air France intends to introduce a new lounge featuring an outdoor terrace at Miami Airport.
Air France to Enhance Miami Airport Experience with New Lounge
Air France is set to elevate the travel experience for its passengers at Miami International Airport (MIA) with the announcement of a new state-of-the-art lounge. The French airline currently operates a daily flight to Miami during the summer, which increases to twice daily during the winter months.
The grand opening of the Air France lounge at MIA is scheduled for some time in 2028, coinciding with the unveiling of a new premium lounge by American Airlines at the same airport. The news was first reported by One Mile at a Time.
Covering approximately 7,400 square feet, the Air France lounge will offer a dedicated area for first-class passengers, as well as a 1,000-square-foot outdoor terrace, making it the only airport lounge in Miami with an outdoor space.
Miami International Airport is known for its mediocre lounge offerings, which will soon change with the arrival of the Air France lounge and the American Airlines premium lounge. Until the grand opening, Air France passengers will have to utilize the Delta Sky Club at MIA.
Air France's investment in its lounge at MIA follows American Airlines' announcement of its own lounge investment at the airport, making Miami International Airport the seventh U.S. airport to host an Air France lounge, joining Boston (BOS), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington (IAD).
The new Air France lounge at MIA will be a significant addition to the travel experience for passengers, offering a premium space for Air France Business class redemptions using Flying Blue miles, starting at 60,000 miles one-way per person.
The lounge will be located on level 3 of Concourse H, and further details about its amenities and features will be released closer to the grand opening in 2028. Stay tuned for more updates on Air France's exciting new lounge at Miami International Airport.
