AI-assisted song *Bildschirmblick* hits Germany’s top five with a mission

A new AI-assisted song called Bildschirmblick has climbed to number five in Germany’s midweek charts. Created by Frederik and Johanna Braun, founders of Miniatur Wunderland, the track aims to encourage mindful smartphone use among young people. All proceeds from the song will support Kinder brauchen Musik, a foundation promoting music education for children and teenagers.

The idea for Bildschirmblick came from the Brauns, who wanted to highlight the impact of excessive screen time. While the lyrics were written by people, the vocals and production relied on AI to achieve a polished sound. The song’s success in the midweek charts suggests strong interest, though its final position in Friday’s official rankings remains unknown.

The song’s chart performance and charitable mission have already drawn attention. If Bildschirmblick maintains its popularity, it could bring further support to music education programmes. The Brauns’ project also opens discussions about technology’s role in the lives of young listeners.
