Advertising firm Rocket & Wink secures Comdirect account and unveils initial marketing campaign

In an exciting development, Comdirect, the German online bank known for its colorful and experimental brand, has expanded its advertising campaign to digital platforms. The campaign, which was developed to address the need for independent, flexible, and individual financial decision-making among bank customers, features four unique spots showcasing people using Comdirect products in their daily lives.

The campaign was a collaborative effort between the agency Rocket & Wink, Fraser, and Cobblestone Filmproduktion. While Rocket & Wink is not typically known for creating TV spots, their conscious handmade approach seemed to fit well with the style of the two agency founders who always appear in masks.

The unique spots visualize the Comdirect experience in a special way. Each spot transforms into one of four brand colors - turquoise, pink, purple, or yellow - during use, adding a vibrant touch to the advertisements. Interestingly, the color changes are not created with AI, but are handmade, adding a personal and artisanal touch to the campaign.

The agency Cobblestone Filmproduktion, which worked alongside Rocket & Wink and Fraser, is known for its high-quality production work. The spots were directed by Christian Schilling and produced by Cobblestone.

In a statement, Nasrin Shaikh, Head of Marketing for Private and Business Customers at Commerzbank, emphasized the importance of the creative implementation of the campaign. She said, "The creative implementation of the campaign was particularly important to us as it reflects our brand's values and personality."

Comdirect recently collaborated with the agency Kreuzbergkind to set a colorful sign for diversity at the Hamburg CSD. A comic parody with the digital agency Elbdudler was also implemented by Comdirect, further demonstrating the bank's commitment to creativity and diversity in its advertising.

Other advertising materials such as digital CLPs, billboards, stickers, giveaways, and live communication will be used alongside the spots to ensure maximum visibility. With this new campaign, Comdirect continues to push the boundaries of traditional banking advertising, delivering a fresh and engaging approach that resonates with its audience.
