In Southwark, a tragic incident unfolded on Old Kent Road outside McDonald's on Wednesday, August 27. A man in his 30s was stabbed multiple times, and two boys, aged 17, were also injured in the attack. One of the boys, Yeray Sanchez-Morales, tragically lost his life as a result of the stabbing.

The incident, which occurred in the middle of the road, has left the community in shock. Numerous witnesses were present at the scene, and the police are urging anyone who was in the area or has dashcam footage to contact them, quoting CAD 8387/27AUG or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn is leading the investigation. A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on September 1. On Thursday, the same boy was charged with murder, grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon. The man, whose identity has not been disclosed due to legal reasons, will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Thursday afternoon.
