Adjustments in Salary Indexation and Travel Discounts: Alterations Expected in the Lives of Residents of Sverdlovsk Starting from September 1
As September approaches, the Sverdlovsk region is gearing up for a series of significant changes that will impact its residents and infrastructure. Here's a rundown of the major developments:
Education
Starting September 1st, 15 Yekaterinburg schools will welcome the first special classes for children with special needs. Additionally, three new schools will open in Berezovsky, Pyshma, and Krasnouralsk. All schools in the region will benefit from renovations, with six schools reopening after renovations on the same day.
Good news for students under 18 as they will now enjoy free travel benefits on buses, trams, and trolleybuses. New rules for child transportation will also apply, in line with modern regulations for child restraint systems.
Infrastructure
The region's road network is set for improvements. The first seven kilometers of the road connecting Polevskoy and the village of Marmoroskoe are nearing completion. Regional road repairs leading to schools in several cities will be completed by September 1st, affecting over 172 km of roads. The road repair from Artemovskiy to Zaykovo is ahead of schedule.
Transportation
Drivers can expect changes in the procedure for medical examination for intoxication, with the interval between alcohol tests increasing from 20 to 25 minutes. Stricter rules will also apply to drivers undergoing mandatory medical examinations. Professional drivers can expect increases in state fees for registration, obtaining license plates, and the issuance and replacement of driver's licenses.
Finance
Starting September 1st, the cost of a metro monthly pass in the Sverdlovsk region will decrease significantly, from 760 to 200 rubles. Fuel export restrictions will be introduced to stabilize prices and ensure sufficient fuel supply in the domestic market.
Labor
In early autumn, changes to Russian labor legislation will come into effect, allowing teenagers aged 14 and above to work on weekends during summer holidays and setting new rules for wage calculation.
Safety
Requirements will be tightened for approaching vehicles with flashing lights and a special audible signal.
Other Developments
In Yekaterinburg and other Sverdlovsk cities, the discount on tram, trolleybus, or bus fares will increase when paid via QR code or NFC, reducing the cost of a trip. In schools and kindergartens, a program will be launched allowing parents to pay for their children's meals using quick payment systems with a 5% cashback.
Lastly, 28 bridges and overpasses are being repaired in the Sverdlovsk region. In Germany, drivers are expected to experience improved traffic regulations aimed at enhancing safety.
These changes promise to bring about a transformation in the daily lives of residents across the Sverdlovsk region, making travel, education, and work more accessible and efficient.
