In the world of entertainment, it's not uncommon to find stars with diverse passions outside their acting roles. Two such stars, Celia Imrie and Dame Helen Mirren, have a shared love for music that extends beyond the silver screen.

Celia Imrie, known for her kitchen dance sessions with Emma Thompson, has a rich musical background. Imrie, whose mother played the violin, grew up with a father who played the viola. However, Imrie admits that she doesn't fully understand opera but has a soft spot for Puccini's compositions. In a previous interview, she revealed that Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, or Coppelia can make her dance around her kitchen. Imrie also expressed her deep affection for music, stating that she couldn't live without it.

On the other hand, Dame Helen Mirren, despite growing up with a musically inclined father, considers herself "so unmusical." However, Mirren has a great love for classical music. When she listens to music, she tends to lean towards classical pieces, particularly those by Stravinsky. Her admiration for Stravinsky's music is so profound that it will feature in the new Wes Anderson film, 'The Phoenician Scheme.'

Both Imrie and Mirren are set to star in Netflix's upcoming production, The Thursday Murder Club. In this mystery series, Imrie plays a role, and Mirren takes on the character of Elizabeth Best in the adaptation of Richard Osman's best-selling novel.

As these talented actresses continue to captivate audiences with their acting prowess, their love for music serves as a testament to the power of art to enrich and uplift lives. Whether it's dancing to show tunes like "I Will Survive" and "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" or immersing themselves in the beauty of classical music, Imrie and Mirren's passion for music is a delightful addition to their already impressive resumes.
