Payam Yazdani, a versatile and engaging actor, has been making waves in the theater world. Born in Hamburg in 1994, Yazdani is currently performing at the Jungen Schauspielhaus Hamburg in the production "Krabat."

In addition to his role in "Krabat," Yazdani can also be seen in the productions "Bambi: An Expedition into the Forest" and "Out of the Blue," although the locations for these productions are not specified.

The actor's credibility and dedication to his craft have been recognised by the jury of the Boy-Gobert Award. The award, named after the former director of the Thalia Theater, Boy Gobert (1925-1986), is worth 10,000 euros.

The jury, chaired by actress Catrin Striebeck, praised Yazdani for his versatility, joy in playing, clarity, distinct stance, engagement, and genuine interest in his roles. The jury's decision reflected the actor's commitment to his craft.

Yazdani's win marks a significant milestone in his career. The Boy-Gobert Award has been won by numerous prominent theater personalities, including Ulrich Tukur, Martin Wuttke, Susanne Wolff, Hans LΓΆw, Gala Othero Winter, and Steffen Siegmund.

Starting in the 2025/26 season, Yazdani will join the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. He will continue to appear as a guest at the Jungen Schauspielhaus Hamburg after this transition.

The Boy-Gobert Award ceremony will be a matinee performance at the Thalia Theater on December 7. It is a testament to Yazdani's talent and dedication that he has been recognised with this prestigious award.
