Actor Norman Reedus unveils season 3 of "The Walking Dead" series, signaling ominously that the apocalypse could strike "imminently"

In the world of post-apocalyptic drama, Norman Reedus' character Daryl Dixon continues to be a significant part of his life, as well as the lives of many fans. The third season of the spin-off series, "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon," premieres on AMC+ on September 8.

Filmed in Spain, the new installment features Reedus and Melissa McBride reprising their roles, alongside an international cast that includes Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay. The series also introduces a host of Spanish actors, such as Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbús, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, and others.

Spanish director Paco Cabezas has directed several episodes of the third season, bringing a unique perspective to the story. The new installment features a cast populated by familiar faces from Spanish cinema.

As the series progresses, Daryl Dixon, a character who previously struggled to open up to others, now understands the importance of human connection. He acknowledges that he needs other people to move forward. Reedus, who has been portraying Daryl since 2010, finds it difficult to let go of the character. He mentions that even mundane activities like grocery shopping are influenced by his character being recognized by fans.

Reedus reflects that the apocalypse is closer than it was 15 years ago when the original series of 'The Walking Dead' began. He warns that if the current trend continues, global collapse will occur "at any moment." However, McBride, co-headlining the cast, views the end of the world as something that "has probably been so for generations."

The fourth season of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" is currently in production and will also be set in Spain. Fans can look forward to more adventures with Daryl Dixon and the rest of the cast in the near future.
