Across the Pacific's vast expanse, a group of Scots undertake a rowboat journey, with their destination set on pizza.

The Scottish Maclean brothers - Jamie (31), Ewan, and Lachlan - have made history by completing a charity rowing journey from South America to Australia in record time. The brothers, who set off on their epic adventure over 139 days ago, arrived in Cairns, Australia, on Saturday.

Upon their arrival, the brothers were greeted by family members and friends, who were overjoyed to welcome them home. Jamie Maclean, the eldest of the three, expressed a desire for a pizza, no doubt a well-deserved treat after their gruelling journey.

The brothers' journey covered nearly 9,000 miles (around 14,484 km), beating the previous record set by Russian Fedor Konjuchow in 2014. Konjuchow took over 159 days to cover 7,393 miles (around 11,898 km) from Chile to Australia.

Towards the end of the journey, Jamie Maclean admitted that it was tough due to exhaustion. However, the brothers pushed harder to finish before their supplies ran out. Their determination paid off, as they managed to complete the journey in record time.

The rowing journey was for a worthy cause, with the Maclean Foundation aiming to collect a million pounds for water projects. The foundation, which the brothers established during their Atlantic crossing, will continue to raise funds for this important cause.

The Maclean brothers' athletic feat has inspired many, and their record-breaking journey is a testament to their determination, resilience, and commitment to making a difference. As they celebrate their arrival and reflect on their incredible journey, we can all take a moment to admire their achievement and the positive impact they have made.
