Students from Pforzheim University have been honored with numerous scholarships this academic year for their exceptional academic success and completing impressive final theses.

Pforzheim University recently held a celebratory event to honour 14 students who excelled in their academic pursuits and demonstrated exceptional commitment. The ceremony, which took place on Thursday evening, was graced by the presence of donors, award winners, and University Rector Professor Dr. Ulrich Jautz.

Markus Brock, in his seventh tenure, led the program for the evening. Among the awards presented, the PSD Bank Karlsruhe-Neustadt eG sponsorship award was given to Franziska Heckel, a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Resource Efficiency Management, for her thesis on CO2-optimized circular logistics using a returnable packaging system.

Julian Jung, a graduate of the Master's program in Information Systems, received the prize from Witzenmann GmbH for his innovative machine learning model predicting control-relevant KPIs based on production and process data.

The Förderer und Alumni der Hochschule Pforzheim e.V. (FAV) awarded scholarships to students Paul Belousow and Francesca Barbusca for their work with the ELSA initiative's mentoring program.

Antonia Ziegler, a Bachelor of Accessory Design, received the first Theo-Münch-Stiftung sponsorship award for her thesis "Garden Fences", which explores the general design of boundaries and features an interactive light installation. Svenja Kissmer from the B.A. Industrial Design program received the second Theo-Münch-Stiftung sponsorship award for her thesis "Garden Fences".

Leonardo Nicola, a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Industrial Design, was awarded the scholarship of Richard Wolf GmbH for his thesis on a standard rollator that combines circularity requirements and specific product requirements.

Jakob Krämer received the first prize from the Enz district administration for his Bachelor's thesis in Industrial Design, in which he developed a device for automated almond harvesting.

Sarah Kehr, a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Fashion, received the third prize from the Enz district administration for her work "I'M A NUMBER NOT A NAME", which explores the relationship between fashion, space, and body, and negotiates the boundaries between physical and virtual spaces using Gilles Deleuze's concept of virtuality.

Pascal Rein, a Bachelor of Industrial Design, received the Rolf Scheuermann Foundation sponsorship award for his thesis on contemporary adaptation and support of meditation in everyday life, designing special in-ear headphones for this purpose.

Lukas Klösell, a graduate of visual communication at Pforzheim University, received a special prize from an unspecified company for his artfully produced short film "Sapiens", which depicts the dystopian consequences of human action on Earth.

Jennifer Park, a student in the Bachelor's program Business Administration/Digital Enterprise Management, was awarded a scholarship by the Zonta Club Pforzheim for her commitment within the university and good academic performance.

Nadja Walch, a student in the Taxation and Business Auditing program, received the Ernst & Young GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft sponsorship award for her top academic performance with an average grade of 1.5.

However, it is worth noting that publicly available search results do not list the names of students awarded scholarships for outstanding theses in 20XX by Ernst & Young GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Theo-Münch-Stiftung, Richard Wolf GmbH, BLANC & FISCHER Corporate Services, Witzenmann GmbH, Zonta Club Pforzheim, or Förderer und Alumni der Hochschule Pforzheim e.V.

The evening was filled with lively jazz music provided by the "Café trio", making it a memorable and festive occasion.

This event serves as a testament to the university's commitment to fostering academic excellence and recognising the achievements of its students.
