Accused House Help in Bijnor Found Urinating in a Glass and Spraying It on Utensils, Turns Out to Be a Hindu, not a Muslim

In a recent viral video, a house help named Samantra Devi, who worked for bullion trader Satyam Mittal for approximately ten years, was caught urinating in a glass and spraying the urine on utensils. The incident allegedly took place in Zaheer Mohalla, Nagina police station area, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh.

Contrary to claims made in some posts, Samantra Devi is a Hindu, not a Muslim. This clarification comes from the SHO of Nagina police station and Nagina Circle Officer Anjani Kumar, who confirmed that the accused is not a Muslim.

The family of Satyam Mittal noticed a change in Samantra Devi's behaviour and suspected foul play. They installed hidden cameras to investigate and caught her on video committing the inappropriate act.

The local police took immediate action regarding the incident, as stated by Nagina Circle Officer Anjani Kumar. The police registered a case against Samantra and her husband Jagdish, and Samantra Devi was handed over to the police on 21 August 2025.

During interrogation, Samantra reportedly admitted to her actions, stating that she acted due to mental instability and expressed shame over her actions. The police granted her bail.

It is important to note that no formal complaint was filed by the house owner, and there was no communal angle involved in the case, as clarified by the Nagina Circle Officer Anjani Kumar in an X post dated 22 August 2025.

The viral video has sparked controversy on multiple social media platforms, but it is crucial to avoid spreading misinformation or communal bias. The facts of the case remain that Samantra Devi, a Hindu house help, was caught on camera committing an inappropriate act, and the local police have taken action accordingly.
