On Monday evening, a significant traffic accident occurred on the federal motorway 5 near Ettlingen. The incident involved a 24-year-old Peugeot driver and four other occupants aged 19 to 24.

Two 20-year-old female passengers were lightly injured in the accident, while two other occupants, a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries. The right lane and the middle lane were not passable during the accident investigation, and the right lane remained closed for subsequent clearance work until around 02:00.
