Accident on A43: One individual passes away, two critically injured after a vehicle veers off the road; the deceased and two severely injured victims are all 41 years old
A serious traffic accident occurred on the A43 near Nottuln on June 9th, around 9:30 AM, as a Mercedes veered off the road. The incident took place in Münster, as inferred from the police department's name.
The road towards Wuppertal was closed until 1:30 PM due to the accident, and an accident reconstruction team is on the scene to determine the exact course of events.
The accident involved three individuals: a 41-year-old man (deceased), a 34-year-old woman, and another 41-year-old man (severely injured). Initial indications suggested that there may have been more people in the Mercedes, but this has not been confirmed.
The woman was trapped inside the vehicle, and the Mercedes ended up in a ditch, was thrown back onto the road, and landed in a nearby field. One of the men was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The injured individuals were taken to hospitals.
Possibly in the Mercedes were the driver and two unidentified passengers who sustained injuries in a traffic accident on the A3 near Erlangen; these two passengers have not yet been specifically identified.
Several passersby provided first aid to the victims and stayed with them until emergency services arrived. A helicopter was deployed to search the area, and police officers searched the adjacent field, but these suspicions have not been confirmed.
No new information about the status of the 34-year-old woman or the other 41-year-old man who were previously mentioned as being involved in the accident is available at this time.
