Accelerated Completion and Commencement of Traffic Flow on R10 Ring Road Prior to Anticipated Date

The southern district has recently witnessed a significant development in its infrastructure, with the completion of an extensive modernization project on district road R 10. The expansion of the road between Schloss Haus and Mooshof, as well as the roof repair in the section from Mooshof to Hagelstadt, has been successfully accomplished.

The construction work, carried out by Fahrner Bauunternehmung GmbH from Barbing, has contributed to the long-term performance of district road R 10. The roadway in the expansion area has been modernized, with its width increased from 5.50 meters to 6.50 meters. On both sides of the road, 1.50-meter-wide shoulders have been created for improved safety and convenience.

The modernization also includes a comprehensive drainage system overhaul. Ditches up to two meters wide have been redesigned to manage rainwater effectively. A retention basin for sustainable rainwater management was constructed, with construction commencing at the end of 2024.

In addition, the asphalt surface between Mooshof and Hagelstadt has been renewed, and damaged areas along the road have been repaired. The top asphalt layers were removed, and shoulders were restored to ensure a smooth and safe driving experience.

The sedimentation plant with partial flow treatment and bypass was required for regulating discharge into the Moosgraben, ensuring environmental sustainability. A retention basin and the improved drainage system are examples of sustainable planning and careful action.

The construction measures did not include the modernization of the roadway width or the creation of 1.50-meter-wide shoulders, unlike the earlier expansion between Schloss Haus and Mooshof. However, a roof repair was carried out in the section from Mooshof to Hagelstadt.

The total construction costs of the project are approximately 1.5 million euros, funded by the Bavarian Municipal Traffic Financing Act. District Administrator Tanja Schweiger expressed gratitude for the timely and high-quality implementation of the project.

The approximately 2.740-meter-long section of the road was reopened to traffic on August 6, 2025. It is worth noting that the construction company involved in the expansion of district road R 10 between Schloss Haus and Mooshof was Fahrner Bauunternehmung GmbH, while the roof repair section between Mooshof and Hagelstadt was handled by Firma M.1 Bauunternehmen GmbH.

This comprehensive construction measure is an investment in future-proof infrastructure in the southern district, enhancing the connectivity and safety of its roads.
