Staying active is essential for maintaining good health, and with the hustle and bustle of daily life, finding time to fit exercise into our schedules can be challenging. But fear not, as we have a solution that requires no equipment and can be completed in just 15 minutes – all from the comfort of your own home!

This innovative workout was designed by certified personal trainer Cara Metz and can be found in the 1,500-step walking training. If you prefer to head outdoors for a walking workout, there is a specific plan designed for weight loss.

The workout consists of eight different exercises, including a march, a box step, and a 'rock' step. Each exercise is done for one minute, and after completing all eight exercises, the workout is repeated. The more you walk, the more health benefits occur, according to a study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

Dr. Jo Ann Staugaard-Jones, the certified personality behind the 1,500-step walking training, explains that walking can support healthy weight loss, increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, lower blood pressure, boost sports performance, and lower the risk of developing heart-related diseases, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and some cancers.

To make the workout even more enjoyable, you can put on your favorite music and get moving! And if you're looking for more achievable workout ideas, health tips, and wellbeing advice, be sure to sign up for the Fit&Well Newsletter.

In addition to the 1,500-step workout, there are also available plans for 3,000 steps, 5,000 steps, and a walking workout plan for weight loss. So, whether you're looking to add more movement to your day or want to take your fitness to the next level, there's a walking workout plan for you!

Walking 10,000 steps a day is a great way to add movement to your day and is an effective defense against cardiovascular disease. An analysis of studies published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found benefits starting from just 2,500 steps a day. So, whether you're starting small or aiming for a big goal, every step counts!

By incorporating this home walking workout into your daily routine, you'll be taking a significant step towards a healthier, happier you. So, lace up your shoes, put on your favourite tunes, and get moving! Your body will thank you.
