Abandoned school site to become a scenic mountain hotel complex by 2024

A new hotel complex is set to transform a disused primary school site in Komsomolsky District. Located on the bank of a mountain river, just two kilometres from the village of Uktur, the project aims to boost local tourism with modern facilities and scenic surroundings. Construction is expected to finish by 2024, offering visitors a fresh destination in a remote but picturesque area.

The investor is currently securing a lease for the forest fund land where the complex will stand. Once the paperwork is complete, work will begin on utility connections, an access road, and the layout of functional zones. The project's full implementation could take between two and four years.

The site will include ten guesthouses, a café, a banquet hall, and essential service facilities. Additional features such as children's playgrounds, pavilions, and relaxation areas with small architectural details are also planned. Before opening, the investor must finalise project documentation, install technical equipment, and ensure high service standards.

Guests will have easy access to nearby attractions, including the Gur River, Aksakinsky Pass, the local history museum, the Shamanka rock outcrop, and an observation deck. The development marks one of the few significant tourism projects in Khabarovsk Krai in recent years, as most efforts in the region have been small-scale due to economic challenges.

The hotel complex will provide a mix of accommodation, dining, and leisure options in a scenic mountain setting. Its completion in 2024 could bring new economic activity to Uktur and the surrounding area. For now, the focus remains on securing the lease and preparing the site for construction.
