A31 road incident resulting in 10 individuals suffering injuries.
On Sunday evening at 18:20, the Bottrop Fire Department responded to a serious traffic accident on the A31. The incident involved two cars, one of which overturned and ended up on its roof.
According to the Fire Department Bottrop, transmitted via news aktuell, a total of ten people were injured, one of them seriously. Contrary to initial reports, no one was trapped in the accident.
The police then took over the site to investigate the cause of the accident. Rescue services from Oberhausen, Dorsten, and Gladdeck were requested to assist the Bottrop crews. The fire department called for the "mass casualty incident" protocol during the operation.
After initial treatment, the injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals. The operation ended for the fire department around 20:00.
