A woman aged 55 years succumbed to her injuries after falling during a multi-pitch climb at a climbing garden on Saturday morning.

Training Collision Occurrence - A woman of 55 years old falls fatally in a rock-climbing park.

A climber from Bonn, located in North Rhine-Westphalia, was involved in a group practicing their technique at the "Frauenwasserl" climbing garden near Oberammergau in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district. The area is known to be easy and perfect for beginners.

During the lead climb, where the woman went ahead to place protective equipment on the rock, she fell onto a ledge. Immediately, the mountain guide attempted to revive her. Not long after, a rescue helicopter from Reutte, members of the Oberammergau mountain rescue service, and firefighters all arrived at the accident scene.

Unfortunately, the woman passed away at the spot. The Murnau border police are now leading the investigation into the incident.
