Following a maneuver to take the lead - A truck crashes into a garden.

Following initial alerts for help, responders suspected that several individuals might be stuck. However, upon arriving at the scene, the rescuers found out that only the tractor-trailer driver was trapped inside the cab. He couldn't open the doors because of the tree branches and bushes that were obstructing him. Fortunately, the rescuers managed to free the driver from his injuries.

The reason behind the incident yet to be determined

As per preliminary information, the driver of a VW Golf attempted to overtake the truck headed towards Hemdingen. It's unknown as to why both vehicles collided sideways. It appears the truck driver lost control, veered off the road, broke through a fence, and ploughed through a front garden.

The fire department had to chop down numerous trees during the rescue operation in order to extract the tipper truck. "Since the truck's fuel tank was torn apart and released over 300 liters of diesel, additional soil had to be removed," said a police source. The road was closed for quite some time. A total of 60 rescue personnel took part in the mission.
