A Testament to Variety and Harmony
Last Saturday, the Integration Cup 2025 took place in the city of Cologne, Germany, marking a successful event that symbolised unity, diversity, and lived integration. The Integration Cup 2026 is set to follow suit, taking place on 05.09.2026 in the same city.
Fifteen teams participated in this year's tournament, with each match lasting 10 minutes. The games were fair, friendly, and driven by healthy ambition, providing an enjoyable experience for all. The youngest guests received lovingly assembled surprises, sponsored by Volksbank Euskirchen and EUGEBAU, adding a touch of joy to the event.
Mayor Sasha Reichelt opened the event, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in promoting openness, respect, and togetherness. Salih Yavuz, chairman of the Integration Council, was also present, lending his support to the cause.
Several companies sponsored the event, including Vogelsang IP, dm-drugstore, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing, and Kreissparkasse Euskirchen. These sponsors contributed gift bags for all teams as a token of appreciation. Additionally, a colorful fringe program was offered, including diverse culinary options and activities for children like a bouncy castle, face painting, and the popular Karlo-Klötzchen.
The Integration Cup 2025 concluded with an exciting final, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats. This year's event served as a testament to the power of sports in bringing people together, regardless of their backgrounds.
