"A single paediatrician serving nearly 40,000 residents"

Overworked pediatrician Charalampos Moysiadis and his diligent team frequently go beyond their limits, as he is the sole pediatric specialist left in the Kamp-Lintfort area following the departure of Dr. Leipold.

Mayor Delivers Coffee Machine to Kamp-Lintfort's Pediatrician

In a show of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the practice team, Mayor Prof. Dr. Christoph Landscheidt of Kamp-Lintfort recently delivered a modern coffee machine to the team. The delivery was made at the practice where Dr. Moysiadis, a pediatrician serving nearly 40,000 inhabitants, works tirelessly to care for his young patients.

Despite the challenges, Dr. Moysiadis continues his search for reinforcements for his young patients. These challenges include language barriers, complex bureaucratic procedures, and the time-consuming process of German recognition of Greek specialist qualifications. The mayor's commitment to making it easier for doctors to settle in Kamp-Lintfort includes assistance in finding housing, securing school or kindergarten places, and language courses.

The coffee machine delivery, however, does not address these challenges faced by Dr. Moysiadis in recruiting colleagues from his home country, Greece. The statutory health insurance associations have not been very cooperative in these discussions. In response to a request made by Employee Hasija Becic, who expressed the need for it in their stressful daily routine, the coffee machine was delivered to alleviate the stress of the practice team and as a sign of recognition and appreciation for their work and support of the city.

Mayor Landscheidt is also involved in discussions regarding the city's healthcare needs. The ongoing discussions about the city's healthcare needs and the recruitment of new doctors are separate from the coffee machine delivery. The delivery is not related to the challenges faced by Dr. Moysiadis in recruiting colleagues from his home country or the lack of cooperation from the statutory health insurance associations.

Dr. Moysiadis has been trying to attract colleagues from his home country, but the city's efforts to make it easier for doctors to settle in Kamp-Lintfort may not be enough to overcome these obstacles. As such, the pediatrician is exploring other avenues to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in the city.

Despite these challenges, the city of Kamp-Lintfort remains committed to providing excellent healthcare services to its residents. The delivery of the coffee machine is just one example of the city's support for its healthcare providers, who work tirelessly to care for the community.
