Smoke Hazard Alert Issued in Dresden by Firefighters - A significant fire reoccurs at a malt factory.

An area in Dresden-Leuben has caught fire once again, just hours after the firefighters had completed extinguishing the flames there the previous night. A spokesperson for the Dresden police confirmed the news on Friday morning.

The latest fire reportedly occurred in a defunct malt factory, and the residual smoke gases started to burn, leading to the renewed blaze. The fire had initially been reported the previous night and had kept the emergency services busy until after midnight.

By Friday morning, empty buildings in the industrial wasteland were fully engulfed in flames again. The police spokesperson remarked that "it's really burning now." However, firefighters were unable to enter the building due to the risk of collapse.

It is likely that parts of the building will need to be demolished in order to extinguish the fire. A drone squadron was also dispatched to the scene.

Due to the heavy smoke generated by the fire, the police urged the residents to keep their windows and doors closed and switch off their air conditioning systems. A public alert was issued via an app at around 6:20 am on Friday morning.

Dresden fire department had swiftly deployed a large number of emergency services the previous night, but the cause of the fire was yet to be determined.
