Blown out tire - A milk truck collides within a highway tunnel.

During a startling accident on Saturday evening, a milk truck driver miraculously escaped with only minor injuries after his vehicle's tire burst on the A94 road, resulting in the truck slamming into the tunnel walls between Kirchham and Malching (both in the Passau district). The driver was temporarily hospitalized following the incident.

Cleaning up the aftermath of the crash is anticipated to present significant challenges, with the road closure potentially lasting until Monday. The extraction process will necessitate pumping out the remaining milk from the truck before the highway department can evaluate any potential damage to the tunnel. As of yet, the police have made no official comment regarding the severity of the damage.
