A Mentorship Initiative Geared Towards Assisting Women of Color to Thrive in the Realm of Advertising

Shaunah Margaret, a resident of New York City for eight years, has taken it upon herself to help others navigating a similar career and social context. After moving to the city for an internship, she found herself in a white male-dominated corporate world, which was unfamiliar territory.

Despite having no family or friends nearby, Shaunah felt ready to use her experiences to help others going through a similar situation. She identified herself as someone similar to the individuals she wanted to help – women of color – and saw an opportunity to make a difference.

Shaunah's approach to giving back emphasized community, and community was a significant aspect of her mentorship programme. Her goal was to provide mentorship to people like herself, with a focus on women of color in the advertising industry.

After a few years, Shaunah felt acclimated to her surroundings and career. However, she didn't forget about her initial desire to give back. Mentorship became her chosen method to support women of color, as she wanted to help others in a similar career and social context as herself.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there is no information available about a mentoring initiative founded by Shaunah Margaret in New York City specifically to support women of color in the advertising industry. However, her dedication to helping others is clear, and her efforts are a testament to the power of community and mentorship in fostering growth and success for underrepresented groups.
