A Las Vegas-based Escape Room themed around the iconic show "It" has been unveiled.
Step into the chilling world of Escape IT Chapter One, a terrifying multi-room escape attraction inspired by the movie adaptations of Stephen King's novel, "It," now open in Las Vegas. Nestled near Symphony Park in downtown Vegas, this 30K-square-foot former warehouse is just a 10-minute ride from the Strip.
Initially scheduled to launch last fall, Escape IT is a joint effort between Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Jason Egan, creator of the annual Fright Dome at Circus Circus, as well as Egan Escape Productions, which debuted the similar SAW Escape Experience at 2121 S. Industrial Road five years ago.
Jason Egan expressed his excitement, stating, βThis has been an exhilarating project. We're dedicated to creating the most imaginative and interactive experiences, and with this one, we're taking it up a notch as Pennywise the creepy clown greets you to the town of Derry.β
Peter van Roden, senior vice president of Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment, added, βWe're delighted to partner with Egan Escape Productions as they masterfully bring intricacy and precision to every detail to amplify our immersive horror experiences.β
The Dark Allure
Concentrating on the first film, Escape IT Chapter One offers live actors, animatronics, and other spine-tingling effects. Visitors are thrust right into the quest for Derry's missing kids, while trying to break free from Pennywise's grasp. The attraction comprises several interactive rooms, such as Neibolt House, Quality Meats, the "Three Doors" room, the clown funeral room, and the sewer tunnels beneath Derry.
Upon the release of IT Chapter Two later this year, the interactive rooms will increase to 20. As per the announcement, Escape IT also boasts carnival-like midway games and a store offering photo opportunities and unique, custom merchandise.
Escape IT Chapter One, situated at 273 S. Martin Luther King Blvd., is open from 4 to 11 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays and from 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets for Thursdays and Fridays start at $54.99 and $59.99 for Saturdays and Sundays, available on EscapeIt.com.
