Man Causes Police Incident in Ludwigsburg, Now in Psychiatric Care

A 38-year-old man from Ludwigsburg found himself in a psychiatric facility following an incident on Bahnhofstraße in Hemmingen on August 28, 2025.

According to the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters, the incident occurred at around 14:35. Patrol units were dispatched after the man called the emergency number, stating he needed immediate help. Upon arrival, officers found the man in a state of mental distress.

During the arrest, the man resisted, causing minor injuries to a police officer. As a result, official equipment was also damaged. Despite initially taking the man to a psychiatric facility, he managed to flee into a residential area.

Police officers pursued the man and made a preliminary arrest. The man was then transferred to a psychiatric facility due to his psychological crisis and the likelihood that he posed a danger or was unable to seek help voluntarily.
