Landshut's Bismarckplatzfest 2025: A Three-Day Celebration of Music, Food, and Fun
The city of Landshut is gearing up for a vibrant and exciting event, as the Bismarckplatzfest returns for three days of non-stop entertainment. From June 19 to 21, the heart of Landshut will come alive with music, food, and fun for all ages.
The festivities kick off on Friday, June 20, with the official opening ceremony at 7 p.m., presided over by Mayor Alexander Putz and the Royal-Bavarian Shooting Society Landshut. The musical program begins at 7:30 p.m. with "Voices," a pop/rock band, setting the tone for an evening filled with music. As the night unfolds, "Molly Town," a funk-soul-reggae-rock band, will take the stage at 10 p.m., promising a lively and energetic performance.
Saturday is designated as Children's Day, with a playground area, face painting, a bouncy castle, and football darts to keep the little ones entertained. The day also features performances by various bands and action groups from Landshut, including the well-known music groups and artists. At 4 p.m., the Swinging Landshut dance group will perform a Lindy Hop routine, followed by "Brickhouse" at 5 p.m. with their pop-rock tunes from Landshut. The Sunbear Blues Band will play rocky blues or bluesy rock at 6 p.m., leading up to "Tanz-Art" with a Flamenco performance at 7 p.m. The evening concludes with "Pick up Sitxities," a rock cover band, taking the stage at 8 p.m.
On Sunday, the Landshut City Band will perform at 11 a.m., followed by "New Mountains" at 1:30 p.m. and VfL Landshut's "Outcasts" at 3:30 p.m., who will perform hip hop and rope skipping. The highlight of the day is "Help," the Beatles tribute band from Slovenia, who will take the stage at 5 p.m. The festival reaches its climax with "Kim Azas and Friends" at 2 p.m., offering danceable Afro-reggae and rhythms from West Africa, and Christ Waite at 3:30 p.m., who will perform rock, blues, ballads, and oldies. The festival concludes on Sunday at 10 p.m., with "Spice4ever," an Italian formation bringing back the energy and style of the Spice Girls, and "Help," the Beatles tribute band, rounding off the event with a bang.
A rich culinary offer with 2,000 seats is available throughout the festival, ensuring that attendees can enjoy a variety of food and drink options. Admission to the Bismarckplatzfest is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable event for everyone.
