'2025 Reply AI Film Festival Held in Venice: Winner Announced as 'Love At First Sight' Production'
The Reply AI Film Festival, held at the Mastercard Priceless Lounge during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, has established itself as one of the premier venues for celebrating the exciting new facet of cinematic art. With over 2,500 submissions from 67 countries, the festival has seen a significant increase since its debut year.

Filippo Rizzante, Reply's CTO, framed the festival as a "laboratory where cinema meets AI." He believes that AI amplifies artistic sensitivity rather than diminishing it, a sentiment echoed by filmmaker Cathy Lee Crane, who created the film "The Cinema That Never Was."
Jiang described AI as a collaborator that deepened her storytelling, extending artistic expression beyond traditional means. Wachholz, on the other hand, views AI as his "co-archaeologist of imagination," helping him explore a landscape of films that never came to be.
Costa stated that Gen-AI makes filmmaking more democratic, allowing anyone, anywhere, to tell their stories. Rizzante agreed, describing the festival as a platform for showcasing the diversity of approaches in the finalists' works, ranging from anime and noir to near-photorealistic worlds, as noted by TechRadar.
Muccino, in his closing remarks, congratulated all the creators for being sublime and leaving him speechless.
