Following the coach's dismissal from Bayern. - Eberl teases Nagelsmann and Rangnick
He's not a fan of the situation!
Bayern Munich are still without a coach for the upcoming season, as we approach the penultimate matchday of the Bundesliga season.
Eberl mocks Nagelsmann and Rangnick
Eberl after the win against Wolfsburg (2:0): "We're disappointed that we're not further along than we thought we would be by now. We're not just talking to one person; we're trying to find a new coach as quickly as possible."
Eberl continued: "There's a lot of support, not just from the media, but also from the people involved, and our opponents have been particularly offensive at times. I see things differently; usually, you discuss these matters privately. You either reach an agreement or you don't, and then you part ways. This doesn't make things any easier. We're still trying to find the best candidate!"
As a reminder: The reigning German champions had been in deep discussions with Xabi Alonso (staying at Leverkusen), Nagelsmann, and Rangnick. Alonso never made his interest in Bayern public, so he can't be the target of the jab.
Nagelsmann and Rangnick, however, made public statements about the negotiation process, whether directly or indirectly, which might have irked Eberl.
