Due to what reasons are German snooker enthusiasts unable to view the 2024 Tour Championship live on television?
April 1st marks the commencement of the Snooker Tour Championship in Manchester, serving as the last event before the Snooker World Championship. Regrettably, German snooker enthusiasts won't have the opportunity to watch this vital tournament live, as no German broadcaster has obtained the rights to air the Tour Championship.
Tour Championship Exclusively on British Channels
Although the Tour Championship is a pivotal event, German snooker followers won't be able to tune in. Neither Eurosport nor Discovery+ will showcase the matches. There's currently no live stream or other broadcast option accessible in Germany.
The tournament will only be displayed on the British channel ITV Sport, which is not available in Germany.
Eurosport's Response
Our news desk reached out to Eurosport about this matter and received the following statement via email:
Eurosport stated that qualification for the Snooker World Championship takes priority and will be broadcast instead of the Tour Championship.
However, our information suggests that the Tour Championship concludes on April 7th, prior to the World Championship qualification commencing on April 8th. Consequently, it would have been feasible to broadcast the event to German snooker fans.

Can Trump and O'Sullivan Be Toppled This Season?
During the 2023/2024 snooker season, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump have maintained an outstanding performance. Both players have garnered five titles each and appear formidable. What sets these two players apart from the rest?
Judd Trump appears extremely consistent and determined this season. Compared to previous years, he seems to have matured mentally and is more resilient. Trump reinforced this impression in an interview with Eurosport at the World Open in Yushan:
As I age, I've learned not to punish myself when I miss simple shots. Just relax and wait for the next chance.– Judd Trump, Snooker player, World number two_, Eurosport
When Trump is on his game, he's nearly unbeatable. Even the best safeties aren't necessarily safe against him, making him a formidable opponent.
Ronnie O'Sullivan has had exceptional performances this season but has also dealt with setbacks. He lost 0-6 to Mark Selby at the Players Championship, then won the World Masters a month later.
Evaluating O'Sullivan's current form ahead of the Tour Championship and Snooker World Championship is challenging. However, if Ronnie O’Sullivan delivers his best game to these events, he will likely remain unbeatable.
Sports Betting Odds for the Snooker Tour Championship

Judd Trump has been in excellent form lately. Just days ago, he clinched the Snooker World Open in Yushan, defeating Ding Junhui and Jackson Page, 22, among others. In the past, he claimed victory at the German Masters, World Open, English Open, and Wuhan Open.
However, Ronnie O’Sullivan has also secured five titles this season. Notably, he won the Riyadh Season World Masters in Saudi Arabia, the first Snooker tournament in the country, notably for its golden ball. Moreover, he claimed victory at the Shanghai Masters, UK Championship, Masters, and World Grand Prix.
Last tournament before the Snooker World Championship
The Tour Championship holds significance for many Snooker fans as it marks the final tournament before the upcoming World Championship, starting on April 20th in Sheffield.
Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump have dominated Snooker this season, winning 10 out of 20 tournaments. The tournament draw suggests O’Sullivan and Trump could face off in the Tour Championship final. Trump has never won the competition, while O’Sullivan emerged victorious in the first Tour Championship in 2019.
Twice this season, they've crossed paths. O'Sullivan clinched victories in the World Grand Prix final and the Riyadh Season World Masters semi-finals against Trump, as shown in this English video.
The Tour Championship serves as a reliable gauge of their recent performances. Analysts from OnlineCasinosDeutschland.com predict Trump and O'Sullivan as top contenders for the impending World Championship this season.
Lately, Trump has developed a steady game and bolstered his mental fortitude. In contrast, O'Sullivan is recognized for his daring strategy on the table.
Our team will diligently monitor and provide updates on both the Tour Championship 2024 and the Snooker World Championship.
Despite the Tour Championship being an exciting event and crucial leading up to the Snooker World Championship, online casinos in Germany do not offer live streams or broadcasts of the tournament.
Unfortunately, German snooker fans seeking to watch the Tour Championship online will find no such option on platforms like Eurosport or Discovery+, nor is there a reliable live stream available.
