The city of Solingen is renowned for its high-quality bladesmithing tradition. - Driver transports flaming vehicle to fire station.
A 40-year-old man was driving his Jeep Commander on the A3 highway at around 8:50 pm. Suddenly, he spotted smoke coming from the engine compartment. Acting quickly, he pulled off the highway and headed towards the fire station in Solingen-Ohligs.
Upon arrival, the firefighters extinguished the smoke with water. Unfortunately, the car was beyond repair, so it had to be towed away. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Thankfully, the driver escaped unharmed, although he was left shaken by the experience.
