Testing at Wembley. - Dortmund allows Real to imitate.
In just five days, Borussia Dortmund is set to clash with Real Madrid in the final round of the Champions League in London. To ensure the team is fully prepared, the stars engaged in a scrimmage against their own U23 squad, who mimicked Real Madrid's tactics.
Dortmund mirrors Real's strategy
Trainer Edin Terzic allowed the third division team to adopt Real's 4-3-2-1 system, which has been a major factor in their success this season. The professionals were also put through their paces with counterattacks, a tactic that had worked wonders against Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals (ending 2-0).
However, Terzic did not allow the Wembley-bound team to test their full might. Instead, he heavily rotated the roster, introducing the likes of Hummels, Sancho, and Reus only after the break.
Interestingly, the professionals emerged victorious in this matchup as well.
P.S. They didn't play at Wembley during this test match, either.
