Dominik Nitsche clinches fourth WSOP bracelet and pockets €3.5 million reward.

German poker players dominated the High Roller for One Drop tournament at King's Casino in Razvadov, Czech Republic. Dominik Nitsche emerged victorious, claiming his fourth WSOP bracelet and earning €3,487,463. Andreas Eiler finished in second place, taking home €2.2 million. Germany had a strong showing, with eight players making it to the final 20 and collecting winnings.

Nitsche's success marks both a career-best payday and his initial foray into the world of poker in 2006. He raises €111,111 for the buy-in. Other notable players from "Team Germany" included Steffen Sontheimer (5th place) and Christoph Vogelsang (6th place).

Nitsche is one of the most successful players of his generation, boasting four bracelets and a 25th spot on the all-time leaderboard. Although he's unconcerned about records, he expressed satisfaction with his performance and noted the correlation between hard work and success.

"The bracelets are nice, but they show me that hard work pays off. I play High-Roller because I want to compete against the best. [...] I have the feeling that I didn't make any mistakes and played perfectly. I wouldn't want to change a bet, a fold or anything else. That's why I'm happy."

The One Drop charity organization, which promotes international access to clean water, benefited from the tournament. Nearly €21 million has been donated since the partnership with WSOP began in 2012. This year's tournament also contributed an additional €1 million to the cause.

Furthermore, the "Big One for One Drop" tournament is set to return in 2018. Known as one of the priciest live tournaments, it boasts a €1 million buy-in. It debuted in 2012 in Las Vegas, where it attracted a record prize pool of over €18 million. The German high rollers will undoubtedly want to participate in this event.
