The perpetrator in a recent homicide case hasn't been traced since mid-April. Now, a video taken from a surveillance camera has surfaced, seemingly showing the two individuals, the victim and his supposed killer, just eleven minutes before the murder occurred.
The authorities have started a nationwide manhunt in search of the mysterious man in a dark jacket. He can be seen walking next to the victim in the footage.
Police comment: "The suspect could only commit the act for a short period"
Around 9:56 pm, Monday, 15th of April: The police received calls from witnesses who discovered the 28-year old man on the doorstep of Melanchthonstraße 41 in Görlitz. The medical examiner determined that the young man had only been alive for a short while after the attack. Unfortunately, all attempts to save him proved futile, as he bled to death in intense agony.
The current information provided by the police and the public prosecutor's office: The crime scene must have been nearby, as the injured man was unable to travel far. "The suspect could only commit the act for a short period," they explained on Sunday.
Additional footage reveals Tim S. alive only 41 minutes before
A video from a nearby Rewe supermarket in Reichenbacher Straße shows Tim S. shopping at 9:04 pm. A different camera captured him there.
Just 52 minutes before his death, he could be seen walking with the unknown man in the black jacket in Lutherstraße. It's unclear if he was accompanied by this man before or after his shopping trip. The only certainty is that he was dead eleven minutes later.
7000 euros as a reward for any helpful information
What occurred within those ten minutes? Was there a heated argument between the men? They are investigating manslaughter, implying a passionate outburst. The murder weapon has not yet been found but might have been discarded or hidden.
Tim S.'s family members are desperately seeking answers. They describe him as a family-oriented person who was always willing to assist others. Candles left at the crime scene displayed touching messages such as "Your mom loves you" and "I love you more than anything, your Jenny."
