Murderous killing of Tim S., aged 28. - Did the bus riders observe someone being killed?
At 9:56 pm on April 15th, a gruesome discovery was made: the victim, Tim S., lay dying in a doorway at Melanchthonstraße 41 in Görlitz, Saxony. Deep stabs to his chest had caused fatal blood loss.
A surveillance video shows Tim interacting with another man at a nearby location just before his demise; this individual is now being questioned by authorities.
Working with the public prosecutor, police are attempting to identify individuals that may have been on bus routes B and N during the evening of this tragic event. They are specifically interested in a few specific people from that timeframe:
- A 20-year-old man in a hooded jacket and cargo pants boarded the B bus at 9:51 pm at the south entrance of the station and disembarked at Melanchthonstraße at 9:55 pm.
- A 40-year-old woman with glasses, wearing a purple hoodie and carrying a green backpack, also caught the same bus, exiting at the same spot as the first individual.
- A teenage girl with black hair, dressed in a black tracksuit jacket with white stripes, a white sports bag, and white flip-flops, got on the B bus at the Melanchthonstraße stop at 9:16 pm and left the vehicle at Emmerichstraße at 9:24 pm.
- A 30-year-old woman with black hair, clad in a black leather jacket over a pink hoodie, black leggings, and white sneakers, was on the N bus at 9:24 pm at the south exit of the station, exiting at Melanchthonstraße just 4 minutes later.
Additionally, investigators are requesting information about any individuals or vehicles seen on Melanchthonstraße (between Lutherstraße and Reichertstraße) from 9:49 pm to 9:56 pm on April 15th. They are also trying to determine who else may have been in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene, or who might have left the area during that timeframe.
