Attendees, regulations, timeline - Details for the seventeenth edition of "Let's Dance"

It's time to hit the dance floor! "Let's Dance" makes a comeback in 2024!

Fourteen celebrities show off their dancing skillets, hoping to win the prestigious title of "Dancing Star 2024". The 17th season kicks off on February 23, 2024.

What's "Let's Dance" All About?

On this reality dance show, celebrities pair up with professional ballroom dancers and compete in standard, Latin, and fashion dances (freestyle). The competition starts with an introductory show, where we find out which celebrities are matched with which professional dancers.

Professional dancers have one week to teach their celebrity partners a choreographed routine, which they perform together in the show. Charisma, technique, and a great performance are key to impressing both the judges and the audience.

The show isn't just about the dancing; it's also about the elaborate costumes the couples wear while dancing on stage.

After each performance, each judge gives a score ranging from 1 to 10. The audience also has a say, voting for their favorite couples, who then move on to the next episode.

An interesting twist this season - RTL boss Inga Leschek has revealed to DWDL the live show will have a brand-new studio setting!

How is "Let's Dance" Judged?

The last-place finisher in the jury ranking receives one point, the second-to-last couple two points, and so on. The audience ranking works the same way. The results of the audience ranking are not announced. The couple with the lowest combined score (jury and audience) gets eliminated. If there's a tie, the couple with the lowest audience rating is sent home.
