Dolphin performance in Lübeck's Bay - Delle has returned.
Over the weekend, the entertaining dolphin in Travemünde (Schleswig-Holstein) wowed his spectators with flips and laps in the water. Andersen ventured the 350-kilometer journey to catch a glimpse of his pal. Ever since October 2019, when Andersen spotted Delle for the first time on Svendborg beach, the Dane has been a devoted admirer.
Excited to share his experience, Andersen posted a Facebook photo of himself on the paddleboard with Delle swimming beside him. He captioned it, "What a fantastic day in Travemünde!"
While enjoying the moment, Andersen had a more important purpose in mind. He was concerned about the effects of the Baltic Sea's lower salt content on Delle's skin, which was apparent by the visible changes and health issues forming. Andersen decided to paddle towards Delle on his paddleboard, snapping photos and capturing videos. He plans to send these to a scientist for advice and assessment.
