Debunking Las Vegas Lore: Renting the Hangover Suite at Caesars Palace Is Possible
"Showcased in blockbuster movies, the Caesars Palace Hangover Suite is a two-bedroom room which promises the ultimate celebrity stay," shares sincityvip.com, mentioning an average cost of $1,760 a night.
It's not surprising that numerous individuals annually contact Caesars Palace directly, hoping to book this cultural Valhalla without paying a third-party site's commission.
These people manage to steer clear of a scam. And that's because the Hangover Suite never actually existed.
The wolfpack's extravagant accommodations were actually a Warner Bros.' Burbank soundstage. Some allegations assert the soundstage was patterned after two of the hotel's Forum Tower suites, one of which functioned as a location for the 1988 movie Rain Man. However, interior pictures of the Rain Man Suite hardly resemble those seen in The Hangover.
Talking about Rain Man, the wolfpack's escalator descent to the casino floor homage to Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise was not recorded at Caesars Palace, either. Neither were its gambling scenes. All were shot at the Riviera, which was torn down in 2016.
So why didn't The Hangover shoot in a genuine Caesars Palace suite, like Rain Man did?
"Since no hotel wants their premises damaged by living creatures," Danette Tull, production and communications manager for the Nevada Film Office, discussed with 8NewsNow.

What Was Captured at Caesars
All of The Hangover's scenes at the valet and registration desk were shot on site.
In addition, the scenes involving the hallway and elevator lobby near the fictional suite, happening during the so-called "wolfpack walk," were filmed on the 24th level of the Augustus Tower.
Another well-known Hangover scene shot at Caesars Palace was the rooftop Jägermeister/Rohypnol toast that initiates the gang's mind-blowing evening. It was shot on the Forum Tower's rooftop.
However, this scene is not suggested for reenactment as the rooftop is off-limits to visitors, and security is particularly aware of Hangover devotees disregarding the announced signs.
Infiltrating the rooftop could result in a lifetime ban from all Caesars establishments, as well as a guided tour of Las Vegas' actual jail — not the L.A. police headquarters that substituted for it in The Hangover.
