Kompany's first construction project lies ahead. - Davies hinders Bayern's transfer strategies.

For the first time, Kompany will work with Bayern on a construction project.

Eberl and Freund, the sports director, are working hard to resolve the issue regarding Alphonso Davies (23). The Canadian is holding back Bayern's plans for their left-back position!

Background: Bayern needs to know if Davies will renew his contract, which ends in 2025. If not, the club is considering selling him in the next transfer window (early July to early September) to avoid losing him without a release clause in the following year.

Problem: Davies hasn't accepted the final contract extension offer from Bayern, which included a yearly salary of roughly 13 million euros. He has expressed a desire to join the top earners at Bayern, which would correspond to an annual salary of about 20 million euros. The club isn't keen on paying that much.

Alphonso Davies

There's no quick agreement in sight, and Davies hasn't definitively ruled out Bayern. This stall in negotiations is negatively impacting Bayern's plans for the left-back position.

As long as there's no clarity about Davies' future, Eberl can't make a decision about a potential replacement. He has a few candidates, like Theo Hernandez (26) from AC Milan, on his list. Nevertheless, he can only complete the purchase of the Frenchman (market value of 60 million euros, contract until 2026) if a Davies sale becomes solid.

It's likely that Kompany, upon joining, will impact this situation. The new coach will likely have input in the planned squad revamp. His opinion could therefore be crucial in the Davies negotiations.
