A failed competitor from former Apple employees
The developers on their website highlight that all videos displaying new features were recorded in real time. This is crucial as users should not face any significant loading delays even during actual use.
The reference is important, as former Apple employees recently unveiled a new gadget promising the same features. However, the AI-enabled clip-on from Humane didn't take off, with a major YouTuber claiming it to be the worst product he's ever tested. With great anticipation following initial presentations, users were left disappointed by the lengthy loading times in real-life scenarios.
►The upcoming update for ChatGPT is set to be accessible to all users in the next few weeks. However, some features will only be available to those with paid subscriptions (EUR 18.50/month).
ChatGPT adopts human-like conversations
The update also brings to life scenes from Sci-Fi movies: ChatGPT's voice assistant can now engage in natural conversations with users and identify their emotions. The AI sounds so human-like, it's almost eerie. ChatGPT can even adjust its intonation, putting it leagues ahead of competitor products like Amazon's Alexa or Apple's Siri.
Further, the program will now be able to process information captured via a smartphone camera. During the live presentation, the developers demonstrated how ChatGPT aided in solving a math problem written on paper by one of them.
OpenAI co-founder and CEO, Sam Altman (39), expressed excitement after the presentation, calling it "the best way to use a computer I've ever experienced." He admitted, "It feels like the AI from the movies. And I'm still a little surprised that it's real."
