Around 9:10 a.m., a man aged 49 was waiting for the green light on his bicycle at an intersection by the bus station when suddenly and unexpectedly, he was attacked by a stranger. A police officer reported, "The unknown individual pierced his face with a knife."
Witnesses administered first aid and called emergency services. Within minutes, ambulances and police cars arrived, transferring the cyclist to the emergency room. His injuries led to a lengthy hospital stay. Despite the efforts of the police, the assailant's whereabouts remained unknown. CID officers cordoned off the scene, preserving evidence. A small kitchen knife with a wooden handle, suspected to be the murder weapon, was also found at the location.
