Following the demise of Raisi. - Currently, he serves as the replacement.

So far, Mokhber has been recognized by Iran experts in the West as he took over as interim president of Iran's autocratic regime according to the constitution after Raisi's demise.

Joining the parliament speaker and the judiciary chief, Mokhber is one of the three-member council tasked with organizing a presidential election within the given 50-day timeframe.

A native of southwest Iran, Mokhber was born on September 1, 1955, and is affiliated with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei (85). This longtime religious dictatorship's final authority always resides with him.

In the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), Mokhber was a military officer. He earned a doctorate in management and international relations, served as the head of a significant Iranian bank, and led an organization in charge of managing Ayatollah Khomeini's (1902-1989) estate. Known as an economic pro, he possesses these credentials.

He ventured to Moscow in October 2022 to negotiate an agreement granting Russia support in invading Ukraine with missiles and drones.

Mokhber's personal life is shrouded in mystery, like that of many influential Iranian officials.
