Ninth-position contest in Unterhaching - Could Dynamo Dresden face getting bypassed?

Unbelievable but real: the squad that came in second place during the initial and final part of the season can still manage to secure a third to tenth position before the final two match days.

This signifies that every point matters if they want to avoid a top-half finish, which could be detrimental for sponsors and public image.

INTRIGUING SITUATION IN HALCHING!

Note: The B-class team from Munich sits in seventh position itself and can even overtake Dynamo, who are directly below them, with a victory and push them lower in the standings.

Interim coach Heiko Scholz (58) has made it apparent: "We're not giving away anything here. You can't do that because we're professionals. We have to give it our all."

Jakob Lemmer (24): "Everyone should question themselves once more, it's also about composure, generosity, and honor!"

Yet, Scholz still retains aspirations of promotion, relegation, or even a fourth-place finish in the DFB Cup.

The previous Bundesliga professional: "We have to take advantage of others' errors. Achieving fourth place would be stellar. Attaining it through the regional cup finals against Aue would be a challenging journey."

The players' own futures are at stake as well since there are new coaches and sporting directors, which means terminations of contracts may occur if the athletes don't improve.

Lemmer, whose contract binds him until 2025 and whose development has stagnated: "Everyone needs to step up, and it's advantageous for everyone."

Exceptional Exertion in Training

Scholz has at least witnessed a response. "I told the boys on Tuesday: Why don't you play like you do in training on Saturdays? That was a fantastic session, full of fire," said "Scholle," but conceded: "Sometimes I ask myself why that doesn't seem to translate on the field."

In terms of energy, Dynamo Dresden appeared more like amateur after-work footballers of late. Let's just hope there's no recurrence in Halching!

Dmytro Bohdanov (l.) will not be involved in Haching. The talented striker will travel to the Ukrainian U17 team on Monday
