Car Collision near Kühlungsborn - Corpsed sailor discovered on the Baltic Sea shoreline.

A casual observer made a distressing find at the shore of the Baltic Sea in Klein Bollhagen (Rostock district) during Whit Sunday. Around 9 am, he spotted a lifeless body in the water. An attending physician determined that the person had passed away.

This individual was a retired 79-year-old from Vorpommern-Rügen district. Police reports indicate that he had planned to voyage solo from Kühlungsborn to Warnemünde on this particular Sunday morning.

Authorities Presume an Accident

Efforts to locate the sailboat, conducted with the assistance of water rescue services, led to its discovery in Markgrafenheide. Employees of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service's "Arkona" rescue boat hauled it to Hohe Düne.

At Hohe Düne, law enforcement agents collected evidence and conducted a preliminary investigation. Authorities currently hypothesize that the retiree perished in an accident.
