Greuther Fürth currently holds 45 points in the 2nd division and maintains a secure position in the mid-table without any concerns for promotion or relegation. Nonetheless, coach Alexander Zorniger (56) aims to prevent the season from ending without a fight.
Injured Robert Wagner (20), missing players Niko Gießelmann (32/abductors), Julian Green (28/ankle), Luca Itter (25/pubic bone), Orestis Kiomourtzoglou (25/back), and Nils Körber (27/shoulder) are still recovering. Additionally, Simon Asta (23) is suspended due to his fifth yellow card.
Fürth's upcoming lineup: Urbig; Meyerhöfer, Jung, Dietz, Haddadi; Sieb, Wagner, Consbruch, Lemperle; Srbeny, Hrgota
New Signing from Bayer Leverkusen
The exciting news for Fürth is the signing of young defensive talent Reno Münz (18). Münz joins Greuther Fürth from Bayer Leverkusen after agreeing to a long-term contract.
This season, he played for the Leverkusen U19 team and trained with the professional players, even receiving call-ups by coach Xabi Alonso (42) to the matchday squad twice.
Münz expresses his excitement about his move to Fürth saying, "I'll fit right in here with the other young players. Also, I have ties to Franconia, which adds to my excitement!"
Fürth made three other acquisitions for the upcoming season, with goalkeeper Nahuel Noll (21) on loan from Hoffenheim, and left-back Matti Wagner (18) from 1st FC Köln.
