BILD's take on the introduction of Bayern's new head coach - Company holds an advantage over Tuchel and Nagelsmann.

The situation applies to CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen (56), who believes Kompany (38) is the top choice for everyone. There was no unified decision among the leadership concerning other candidates.

Similarly, new sports director Max Eberl (50) expressed dissatisfaction, stating, "I'm frustrated that we didn't speak with Kompany six weeks ago; everything would have been clear by now. So we've given ourselves a few headaches." He also shared a side comment regarding his former colleagues: "Christoph (Freund) and I can't be held responsible for the high turnover of coaches."

Impressively, Kompany, at the age of 38, appeared exceptionally honest and clear-cut.

"I intend to determine how dedicated the players are and identify those who possess the true winning spirit," he insisted. This was the primary issue in the season preceding. The manner in which he discussed his character, background, aggressiveness, playing style, and work ethic was equally striking. His gaze and self-assurance resonated with Mia san Mia.

In contrast to his unsuccessful predecessors Nagelsmann and Tuchel, Kompany communicates like a player. Naturally, given his 11-year tenure at Manchester City, where he was more than just a captain, this could help him amongst his teammates.

Notably, Bayern Munich has experienced its most successful periods this century under coaches who were elite practitioners originally, including Hitzfeld, Heynckes, Guardiola, and Flick. With Kompany, we'll learn whether a Bayern coach needs to have prior experience as a coach or player to succeed. Or if it's essential to have both.
