Speaking for all involved parties. - Cologne's chairman expresses regret over offensive advertising material.
### FC Shouldn't Tolerate Discrimination
Fans of the ultra group Wilde Horde stirred up a fuss in the south section within 20 minutes, targeting Cologne's Lord Mayor Henriette Reker (67) with a highly offensive poster.
Cologne extends an apology. The appalling poster managed to sneak into the stadium without prior examination. The creator of this tasteless artwork wrote, "Henriette may not be a GILF, but we'll f*** her anyway." One of the most disgraceful instances seen in a Bundesliga stadium recently.
The fans didn't start out of the blue, there had been hostile expressions and posters targeting both the mayor of Cologne and the city during the recent 0-0 match against Freiburg.
The origins of this situation stem from a prolonged disagreement between the club and politicians regarding the urgent need to expand the training facility at Geißbockheim. Reker had previously promised the club that the city would assist, but then went back on her word. Ever since, she's been blocking FC's expansion plans.
