A remarkable day has arrived! - Coach with fourth division team signs contract until 2027.

Furthermore, a fantastic announcement was made: Head coach Miroslav Jagatic (47 years old) has surprisingly extended his contract, which was supposed to end in 2025, and will now remain with the team until at least 2027.

Jagatic started his journey with Chemie back in 2019, making him the longest-serving coach in the Regionalliga Nordost league. Chemie values stability...

The club's boss Frank Kühne appreciates the strong connection Jagatic has with the team, "Our squad under Miro's leadership has a high chance of finishing in the table's single-digit spots for the third consecutive season. Given that we're one of the few teams in the league still training on an amateur level, that's remarkable." Most recently, the team bagged a magnificent 2:0 win against their local rivals Lok Leipzig.

Why Jagatic stands out as Chemie's coach

Another aspect the club executives admire about the previous striker is his loyalty and continuous drive for growth. Recently, Jagatic completed the UEFA Pro License course during the current season.

Kühne enthuses, "Miro will be invaluable to us in our journey towards professionalism. He'll play a pivotal role in shaping the club."

Jagatic shares the same excitement about continuing his journey with BSG, "I've been with the team for over five years - I definitely want to continue this path with this club. Along with the committees, the office staff, and the dedicated followers at Chemie, we've accomplished many small goals in recent times. The fans and the numerous volunteers at Chemie have done a fantastic job."

Jagatic is optimistic, "I hope we can all work together to advance the professionalization of the club further, aiming for even more ambitious targets in the future. Of course, I'm happy to leverage my wide connections."

The last home game of the season will have Chemie go up against BFC Dynamo on Sunday (1 pm).
