Celebrities gather at Fontainebleau opening ceremony in Las Vegas
Much of Malibu stretched into Las Vegas on Wednesday, where a private party was held to celebrate the grand opening of the Fontainebleau Hotel, the Strip's newest casino resort, and its founder, Jeff Jeffrey Soffer's 55th birthday.
The guest list included Kim Kardashian and her sister Kendall Jenner, Cher, Tom Brady, Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin, Eva Longoria , Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel.
The Fontainebleau Hotel, a longtime Miami landmark, just expanded into Sin City as a new $3.7 billion luxury resort/casino that was built in just 16 years.
Timberlake headlined the opening of David Grutman's LIV nightclub, earning a reported $6 million for his hour-long performance.
This is only Timberlake's second live performance of 2023, none of which have been public. In November, he attended Baron Capital's annual investment conference in New York City.
LIV also featured Las Vegas headliners Keith Urban and Paula Anka, the night’s only nod to old-school Las Vegas.
Star-studded guest list
The guest list included Tommy Hilfiger, Alice Cooper, "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston and Aaron Aaron Paul, Dita Von Teese, Lenny Kravitz and Ivanka Trump, all wearing $3,500 Monique Lhuillier dress.
Once the public was allowed in at 12:05 p.m., the VIP party moved to the high-limit room, where Timberlake threw a pair of blue dice to christen the craps table.
Stars from the hospitality industry were also in attendance. These include Tao Group co-CEO Noah Tepperberg, who recently opened Casa Dona restaurant in Miami with Grutman, as well as celebrity chefs Michael White and Evan Funke, who served truffle pizza to diners all night long at his Italian restaurant Mother Wolf.
